Avolites agrees to sell to Robe Lighting

Avolites, one of the world's largest lighting and video controller brands, has, after 47 years, been sold.

The announcement was made by the buyer, another lighting powerhouse, the Czech company Robe.

Paul Wong of Avolites said: "“The Avolites Leadership team wanted to ensure the best outcome for our employees, customers, suppliers and the brand, Robe is an ideal home that will enable us to achieve just that, whilst maintaining our core values. Robe is a great fit for everyone associated with Avolites. Robe has a wealth of resources that will aid Avolites to accelerate its ambitious innovation and product development programmes."

For his part, Robe CEO Josef Valchar made the following statements, "Avolites has always been at the pinnacle of lighting control, with products that complement our lighting fixtures; this will add significant value to sales made throughout both companies global distribution networks."
