Phenoply Leather (PHL) - The new material for flight cases

Phenoply Leather (PHL)

A Santosom solution to innovate the world of flight cases

At Santosom, we are always looking for innovative materials to offer the best in durability, sustainability and performance. We are delighted to present Phenoply Leather (PHL), our newest building material, developed to exceed market expectations.

Why choose Phenoply?

More resistant

  • It has been designed to withstand the most extreme conditions. Its innovative composition provides a density of 650 Kg/m3, guaranteeing the durability needed to protect the most valuable equipment and withstand the challenges of transportation and storage.

More environmentally friendly

  • Committed to sustainability, PHL is manufactured using processes and materials that minimize environmental impact. It's a conscious choice for those looking for solutions that respect the environment without compromising on quality. This change will significantly reduce the amount of waste going to landfill.

Resistance to adverse conditions

  • The new coating not only significantly increases resistance to fire (with F1 and M1 fire reaction values), heat, torsion, chemicals and UV light, but also eliminates the risks associated with traditional PVC, which emits a black, toxic smoke during combustion. The new material offers greater reliability in fire situations.

Perfect adhesion (PVC does not peel off)

  • One of the problems detected in some cases is delamination or peeling of the layers, especially in adverse conditions. With PHL, we eliminate this problem. Thanks to the production technology, it offers a robust and cohesive structure, ensuring that there is no peeling of the protective film, even in situations of high continuous thermal amplitude.

Visually Similar

  • The texture of the new coating is similar to PVC, with the familiar leather look. It will be difficult to distinguish a flight case made with PHL from one made with other materials used previously.
