Students Overcome Challenges at Festival Nacional de Robótica 2025 and Achieve Impressive Results

The team of undergraduate and CTESP students took part in the National Robotics Festival 2025, held in Madeira, with a remarkable performance, defying everyone's expectations, including those of master's teams and research groups with years of experience.

The event, which brought together the brightest minds in robotics, featured several demanding tests, with the Dragster test being one of the biggest challenges for the participants. Despite the difficulties, the team managed to surprise by achieving a record time of 4.02 seconds during training and 5.52 seconds in the official 10-meter straight race.

“It was an incredibly intense and rewarding experience. We exceeded our own expectations, facing competitors with more experience and resources. Focus, technique and creativity were key to our success”, said one of the team members.

Although the competition was fierce, with many of the other participants recording times between 30 seconds and 2 seconds, the team managed to stand out with its impressive performance, earning a place among the best times in the competition.

The achievement was viewed with surprise by many, including teachers and event organizers, who recognized the students' talent and dedication. The team, which started the project with few resources, demonstrated how passion and hard work can make a difference, even in a highly competitive environment.

With the aim of continuing to explore the world of robotics and expanding the knowledge they have acquired, the team is already thinking about new challenges and perfecting their techniques. The National Robotics Festival 2025 was just the start of a journey full of achievements for these dedicated students.
